As former Army Chief VK Singh gears up to join the BJP on Saturday, he has filed a legal notice against Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde.
CNN IBN has accessed a copy of the notice against Shinde which accuses the Home Minister of deliberately not acting against individuals who accused VK Singh of leading a mutiny in 2012. This is in reference to the movement of armed troops towards Delhi in January 2012, which was dismissed by Singh as a routine exercise.
General Singh says in the notice that Shinde's action pointed towards a nexus between the accused and him.
In the letter, Singh has accused Shinde of blatantly disregarding national interest and abetting the commission of treason, sedition and the violation of the Official Secrets Act.
General Singh who was a vociferous member of veteran social activist Anna Hazare's anti-corruption movement will be joining the BJP on Saturday.
He will march from Amar Jawan Jyoti at India Gate to BJP headquarters in Delhi where his formal induction will take place.
