Anna Hazare
has ruled out support to AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal in the coming general
election.
"I
won't support Narendra Modi or Arvind Kejriwal, I will do what I can for the
betterment of nation," Hazare said on Wednesday addressing a joint press
conference here with Mamata Banerjee.
Hazare
heaped praise on the West Bengal chief minister and formally announced his
backing to her party in the coming general election.
"I have
extended my support to Mamata Banerjee as she thinks and works only for society
and country," Anna Hazare said.
"She is
the CM and can lead a life full of luxury, but she leads a simple life,"
Anna said justifying his support for the TMC chief.
I support
the spirit of sacrifice that I see in Mamata Banerjee, the social activist
said.
She is the
only leader who responded to my letter seeking support on 17 issues for good
governance.
